Aloha fellow Rotarians and Friends,

The holidays have come and gone and we are now pursuing our Rotary dreams for 2019 and beyond. We ended 2018 by supporting the annual Tree Lighting ceremony at Castle Medical Center and a give-away of a basket valued at over $500 to none other than Tom Van de Hoot from the Kailua Rotary lunch club! Congratulations, Tom and we had a wonderful holiday dinner at the Kaneohe Yacht Club: Special shout out to Sam Bello for all of his hard work on this event.

We have begun 2019 by supporting 2 terrific Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) attendees, interviewing and selecting Hawaii Youth Rotary Scholarship (HYRF) recipients, selecting a date to support the Kailua House less efforts at Kailua YMCA (April 30th), supporting Meals on Wheels and a Matson sponsored beach clean up at Sandy Beach that brought our club $1,000 in additional funding. Wow we ended the year busy and are starting the year busy. We will be conducting a club assembly on April 2nd to discuss projects to wrap our this Rotary year and projects that will start off our 2019/20 Rotary year.
