Our Club Supports the Hawaii Foodbank!

On February 5th, 2013, Kim Bartenstein, Hawaii Foodbank Food Drive Manager, visited our meeting to received a donation of $256.00 for the Hawaii Foodbank that our club had collected from local shoppers outside of Foodland Kailua during our recent Rotary Rice Rally. 

We are a small club, but last January 12th, with Carol and Briggs Christie chairing the effort, we succeeded in collecting more rice than any other local Rotary Club - - a final grand total of 3,290 pounds of rice!
