In February and March the Windward Oahu Sunrise Rotary Club Inducted four new members by District Governor Laura and recognized one Paul Harris Fellow.  The club invites any adult of any age to come and join us in Service Above Self in the Kailua community, to one of our weekly meetings with a great line up of speakers to learn about our community and state, to club Pau Hana events.

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of US$1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.  The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.  The Rotary Foundation helps fund our humanitarian activities, from local service projects to global initiatives.  Clubs or districts can apply for grants from the Foundation to invest in projects and provide scholarships. The Foundation also leads the charge on worldwide Rotary campaigns such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Rotarians and friends of Rotary support the Foundation’s work through voluntary contributions.
